Well a lot of people have been getting sick these days and I believe it has something to do with the moon.. opps i mean weather. Yes! Curse you weather... well it's been what Kate Perry always say It's been Hot and Cold lately. Sudden change in the temperature and drops out of no where from the sky is definitely going to make people sick around here.

It so happened that I'm of them (no worries its not H1N1) . Been sick for the pass 3 days, down with high fever, flu and cough! but as I said before I can recover like wolverine speed so practically the fever gone and now I only have a little cough to deal with. Hopefully tomorrow i'll be up and running! (Thank you Lord for the speedy recovery)

Life As A Basketballer

I'm back from Miri for the Borneo Cup.

It was an exciting final, We were leading for most of the game until Miri showed their hot hands and started a scoring frenzy on the 4th quarter missing only two shots. We lost at the end and grab second place with third place going to Brunei.

The 3 days in Miri definitely was fun, we managed to visit a lot of places with cheap food! I mean comeon! rm2.50 for a bowl of noodles! it's like heaven to me! and don't get me started on the prices of the western food. Wow the food their is AWESOME! and the people their is friendly as well, can't wait to go back for a second round!

Managed to go to a few highlighted places such as the biggest shopping mall there Bintang Plaza, A1 the place with all the good food, Alfresco and the other pubs for a sip or two, as well as the Miri Basketball Association Court.

I'm off to Miri for the weekends, going there for the Borneo Cups where we would meet teams from Miri, Brunei and Labuan. Heading into the tourny as the defending champions from last year, hopefully we will retain the cup.

The king of pop passed away last night believe to be due to a massive heart attack.

Hospitals received a phone call from the superstar home stating "A 50 year old male, not breathing at all". His staff tried to mouth-to-mouth before ambulance arrive on scene, they tried their best to revive him but to no avail Michael Jackson suceemed to the attack and passed away.

It's a sad day for all of us and especially to the music industry, he was going to make his long awaited return with a massive tour. We would miss you MJ for you have change the music industry in the world.

Personal Life

So i've been busy these few weeks. A lot of friends came back for the summer break, so was busy hanging out lately.. pool, yimcha, movies, etc.etc.

Had a competition not long ago , the 1Borneo 3on3 basketball competition. Participated it with Andrew, Ben and Fah Sang. To be honest I only joined it for the fun of it and I didn't expect us to actually get anything out of it but we tried out best and we managed to get 4th. The overall experience was good as we managed to bond, the only thing that was killing us was the blazing hot sun.

So whats next?? MIRI, Sarawak for the Borneo Cup. Will be flying there in 2 days time, so best of luck to me =)

Personal Life

Just got back from Sandakan 2 days ago, went there for the SAGA games(selection for sukma) as an assistant coach for the running team! The overall experience was good as i manage to meet alot of new and old friends.

The KK atheletics team is a young team from the range of 13 - 20 years old, I really had fun with them cause they were all young and energetic! We got 3rd in the track and field but I think we got 1st in the overall standing. We managed to get 4 goals for KK out of 25 teams participating from 30+ events . Our team is still young and i'm pretty sure in 2 years time we will definitely bag in more goals!

Wow... did everything so last minute! Went out last night and only came back around 5am in the morning, was too tired to pack so i slept straight away! Woke up like 8am and started packing, good thing im a fast packers, only took me about 20min to throw and dump everything into the luggage!

Waiting for my teammate to fetch me now, going off to Lahad Datu for the Sabah Cup!

So today was the finals for the 7th LHK Selection Cup 2009, and as i predicted we managed to retain the cup. The finals was relatively easy as we won the other team by 30 points. Have to give them credit because they were coming into the competition as the underdog and they managed to knock out the favourites in the semi-finals.

It was a good warm-up competition for all of us. Going off to Lahad Datu in 4 days times for the Sabah Cup, going into the competition as defending champion again. Will be looking forward to defending it! Will update you all more on that!

Don't you just love forwarded messages in your mail, without them think my inbox would probably be peaceful. Well anyway just received an interesting email from one of my friends.

Here's the content of the message :

"Hello there I just wanted to let you know that pleast stay away from the beaches all around in the month of July. There is a predcition that there will be another tsunami hitting on July 22nd. There would also be a sun eclipse (cool). Predicted that it is going to be really bad and countries like Malaysia (Sabah & Sarawak), Singapore, Maldives, Australia, Mauritius, Sri Lanka, India, Indonesia, Philippines are goint to be badly hit. So please try and stay away from the beaches in July.

After a 5 months break...

It's Basketball Season Again.

Suddenly.. I can feel my heart pumping faster, my adreline rising and the sounds of the basketball(tum....tum....tum). Its all coming back, this is what I live for.

Started my training about a week ago and I can't say it was a good week for me.. Got my right toe injured and almost sprain my left ankle. But after all the pain, all the injury, and all the hardship I'M READY! I'm ready to hit the court.

First stop :

Competition : Penampang Cup ( 7th LHK Selection Cup 2009 )
Venue : Pusat Kebudayaan Sabah ( Donggongon )
Date : 14/5 - 21/5

My team(Metro Tire) is going into this competition as the defending champions. I can say i'm excited about it because it's the first tournament of the year and it's also a good warm up for the Sabah Cup which is end of this month.

There 10 teams, 2 groups in this competition and we are drawn into Group A. The rules is simple, the top two teams from both group would advance and meet in the semi-final.

I can say it won't be an easy task entering into the semi because the top 3 teams in the competition is drawn into Group A (Metro Tire, STWAB, PPTPDS) but nevertheless our team is strong (i mean they have me) so it shouldn't be a problem.

1st Match(14/05) : 7pm Metro Tire vs MCA(YOUTH)PUTATAN (Opening Match)

Match prediction - should be a one sided game(Win)

2nd Match(16/05) : 830pm Metrotire vs STWAB

Match prediction : 50 - 50 going to be a tough match (Match of the Group)

3rd Match(18/05) : 8:15pm Metrotire vs The Third

Match prediction : One sided game(Win)

4th Match(19/05) : 815pm PPTPDS vs Metrotire

Match prediction : 40 - 60 Hopeful

5th and 6th Match : Semi and Final (TBA)

Robbery based on race?? WTFBBQ!

Here a true story on what happened to 4 of my close friends who went to cyber at KL,

"Before I say anything regarding this issue, I just want to mention that although there are sensitive points I will mention in this post, I still treat, respect and care for ALL my friends the same way, regardless of their race or their skin colour.

I'm not sure if most people know about this, but me, along with the other people I tag in this note, were robbed on the 10th May 2009. As much as I tried to forget the events that happened, I have not stopped thinking about it. The flashbacks keep coming back every other minute. So I thought putting up this post would help me get some of my rage off my back.

The reason I think I feel so pissed off at the incident is because before that very day, I was a person who always told myself that racism is leading the human race off track, turning us humans against each other, bringing more and more hatred into a once peaceful nation of Malaysia. And I for one did not want that to happen to us, because we Malaysians take pride in being a multi-racial nation. However, when we were robbed that day at Blitzone, a group of 6-8 people, who I presume were Malay, came in wielding knives, or parangs as we call them, and ordered everyone to take out their money. I did as I was told, and so did the other people with me. Some of them managed to hide a large portion of their money under the table where the subwoofer was, and some were able hide their phones. At this point, I think I would have easily got over the incident. However, we were then ordered to proceed to the toilet at knife-point (Gary was kicked in the butt for this too). On the way there, I noticed another bunch of customers untouched at one corner. One of the robbers, a mother-fucking ugly son of a bitch fatass, walked up to them and asked them if they were "Melayu"... They nodded their heads, and then the robber said, "OK, you duduk diam diam main ye..." and proceeded to give them sort of like a high five, and then said "Melayu kan, set set"...

This really really pissed me off. If they were in it for the money, why not take full profit, rob everyone? Instead, in the toilet where we were locked up, I only saw the faces of the traumatized Chinese and Indians. So it left me to ponder, did they do this to make a quick buck? Or did they do it as a point to prove towards the nation about their race? I have great Malay friends, and I know for a fact that their religion forbids this kinds of acts. Did any of the Chinese or Indians do anything to offend them? To add to insult, they threatened our lives and even Gary was a knife-point.

The only thing I know is that this incident, has changed my view on the term "Unity in Diversity" for good. It has opened up the pandora's box in me. There is nothing much else I can do, but curse those 6-8 people. May they rot in hell, but in their on-going life, suffer a painful and excrutiating death.

Again, I wish to say that I still love, care and respect every single person that I know equally, and hope that no hard feelings arise from the post." - Victim

Update! Recovering In Wolverine Speed

Personal Life

So after a few seconds (3days) of recovering, my toe back in good shape and i'm ready to hit the ball court again! What happened was my whole front toe nail came out so...

I had two options actually :

To take the whole nail off or
To leave it on and hope it doesn't catch infection

So I decided to .... take option number 2, Y?

Simple! So that i'll be able to wear shoes and play basketball faster. If I were to take option number 1, the healing process would take like a month or so and i won't be able to wear shoes cause it would hurt like.. ALOT!

So number 2 was the best option because I got two competitions coming up which falls on the 14-20(Penampang Cup) and 24-30(Sabah Cup) . Don't want to dissapoint my fans =P by not being able to show my stuff (Godlike Speed and Killer Shot) on the court ;)

I just watched the movie(X-Men Origins : Wolverine) yesterday (outdated i know) and it's pretty good actually.

So basically the movie tells us about the much mysterious background of Wolverine and how he bonded with the indestructible metal adamantium. Alot of famous actors/actresses featured in the film such as Ryan Reynolds(Wade Wilson/Deadpool), Will.I.Am(John Wraith), Lynn Collins(Silverfox) and of course Hugh Jackman(Wolverine) just to name a few.

Ryan Review: The movie started and ended out well, just enough time to give you satisfaction for a 1 hour 40minutes movie. The other good thing is Gambit finally, FINALLY featured in his first ever film (it's about time), and there's a little bit of everything involve in the film like romance, action, and comedy. The downside of the movie was very little time featured for the other characters, action could have been much better/longer and gambit was cool but NOT cool enough! Overall it was good but NOT great, i would recommand you to watch it..

So yesterday I slept early(2:40am) and I didn't manage to watch the Barcelona vs Chelsea match. Then I was rudely awaken by one of my friends SMS stating "looks like Chelsea going to the finals". So guess my prediction was wrong(guessing Barcelona would advance) until i log onto http://goal.com/en-us/ and i was shock to see "Blowing Up The Bridge". Looks like my friend didnt watch till the end as Andres Iniesta scored in the 94 minutes allowing Barcelona to progress into the CPL final due to away goals.

I was so damn happy to hear that(Sorry Chelsea Fans) they won because I know Barcelona can kick Man United ass in the finals! ;)

Just to please my Man United readers, I got to admit the better team won last night and the scoreline says it all Man United 3 - 1 Arsenal.

Two early quick goals in the 8 and 11 minutes killed the game off before it even started. MU has one of the best defence in the world and there no chance, NO CHANCE that Arsenal can score 4 goals against them .

Switched off my Tv during half time and with dissapointed I went to bed knowing all hope is lost and will wait for next season, hoping for a better year. (Arsenal Fan here)

So what do you get when you plus ( long nails + tight shoes + super speed)

Simple!

Yeap gotta learn it the hard way. Was notified last minute that i'm gonna have basketball traning, so after work i rushed over to the basketball court (forgeting to cut my nails) and pretty much step in the court for about 20mins till disaster struck.

So what actually happened.

I shot a 3 point(miss >.< ) - opponent rebound - throw to his team mate across the court- I chased as fast i could - miss the reject - was going to hit the cement post - turned 180% (Godlike speed) to save my face instead - injured abit of my back - lost the game - went to QE - got it healed - recovering (to be updated)

The moral of the story : Score the 3 point next time =P (actually cut your damn nails before you play basketball)

Practice General Preventive Measures for Influenza:

Man United capitalized on a set piece to give them a 1-0 victory over Arsenal after the First League of the Semi-Finals in the Champions League.

A moment of brilliance when Micheal Carrick lobs the ball over everyone and into 3 unmarked United players which John O Shea was the first one to responce and blasted it high above the net to give United the only goal of the game.

Man United basically dominated the whole game from start to finish and Arsenal to my dissapointment didn't have the ability to match up with United pace and strength. Luckily the game only ended up 1-0, so Arsenal have another shot to redeem themselves when the two teams meet again for the 2nd League at the Emirates Stadium(May 6).

Very famous for it's Hong Kong Porridge which would only cost you around rm4.50 - rm5, It has lots of different choices such as Chicken, Fish, Century Eggs, and Pork Porridge. I've tried it and it taste so good! What a bargain for only rm4.50! Besides Porridge it also serves Bee Hoon, Mee, Keoy Teow, and Mee Soup all from the price range of rm4.50 - rm5.

For 3 days straight, theres always been this Power Cut in the morning(or night) for as long as 3 hours. This is due to some technical problem in some of the Power Stations(Hydro Station in Tenom Pangi, Patau-Patau Power Station and the Independen Power Plants).

So they are currently doing maintanence work and might only be completed around July...WAIT..July??!! Does this mean the power cut would be going on for at least another 3 months!

At least Sabah Electricity Sdn Bhd(SESB) is taking some initiative by renting 20 generator sets.

SESB advise : Conserve power usage during peak hours from 10am - 3pm and 7pm-9pm by switching off unused lights or air-conditioning.

Ryan advise : Make sure you bring a torchlight or light up a candle when you go shower. This ensure if the black out would to occur at night, you won't end up screaming or running out of the bathroom with your bath towel ;)

Government to take over SMC?

Report suggested that the Government is at its final stages on purchasing Sabah Medical Centre(SMC). According to Health Ministry Datuk Seri Liow Tiong Lai, talks have been smooth and news about the take over would soon be announce on the news.

If the takeover bid were to fail, The Government would contruct a building as an alternative which could ward at least 144 beds in the existing Queen Elizibeth Hospital(QEH) parking lots or rent a few buildings.

They are also set to complete building the twin tower at QEH which could accommodate 661 beds.

It could be a good thing cause medical bills would be much cheaper =)

One of my close friends(Carol) is camping out in the airport today while waiting for her morning flight and this reminds me of one of my favourite movie "The Terminal (2004 film)"

It's something like a Robinson Crusoe(read your english novels) concept, where someone gets stranded on an island or for this case an airport and make use of everything he can find.

Basically it's about Viktor Navorski(Tom Hanks) flying into U.S. from Krakozhia insearch for Benny Golson(Famous Jazz Musician) and get his autograph in order to fullfill his father's dream. When he arrived in U.S, he heard on the news that Krakozhia was in the stat of war, So his passport got temporary frozen, his currency(money) has no value and he can't get the hell out of the airport.

So What Is He Gonna Do??? Go Watch the Movie =)

Pig Flu = Swine influenza(Swine Flu aka SIV) is a respiratory which infects pigs. This virus is a mix of human, pig and bird strain.

It is not clear how it infects humans but most probably through direct contact with a pig or human to human. Apparently the symptons a person infected would have starts from like a normal flu, then have his temperature soon shot to 39c, with muscles so painful they were almost paralyzed. Soon to follow by extremly painful headaches and eventually vomiting and diarrhoea.

Currently it has infected people in Mexico and have already killed at least 20 people and thousands more could be infected. The World Health Organization called an emergency meeting in Switzerland today whether to declare an international public health emergency. Reports also suggested that the same virus struck at least 8 people in Texas and Calafornia.

No vaccine specificially protects against swine flu, and it is unclear how much protection current humanflu vaccine might offer.

You lock the car and you come back half and hour later, to find out that your remote is working PERFECTLY fine but the car doesnt unlock. Best time to buy is usually around 12pm or 6pm when its freshly cook from the oven! So fear no more cause GIANT here! xD

According to Cambridge University, "Hawking has been fighting a chest infection for several weeks, and was being treated at Addenbrooke's Hospital in Cambridge, the university of city north of London."

It's about two brilliant but socially awkward physicist Shelton and Leonard living across next to beautiful blonde and down to earth Penny. Two geeks whose brilliant in school but totally inept outside of it, so Penny tries to teach them what "real life" is all about. Mixing intellect and comman sence give it the perfect comedy sence. Besides the comedy, you could also learn about science and loads of sarcasm =) . Strongly recommend to watch it.

Was it worth it to stay up and watch football(Arsenal vs Liverpoll) at 3am in the morning?

DEFINITELY YES!

Hanging out at one of our favourite mamak stall(Salim), Paul and I saw one of the most exciting matches of the season. Both team played superb attacking football and they combined to score an incredible 8 GOALS, I repeat 8 GOALS!

What made this match so interesting was goal after goal after goal. I suggest those who didn't watch the match to either find the replay or watch highlights of the game. You won't be dissapointed!

Apachai is a character from the anime called "Kenichi" .

His a 28 year old Muay Thai Champion and one of Kenichi Master who teaches Kenichi Muay Thai techniques such as the Kao Loy(Knee Dive) and Swak Klab(Elbow Blow).

His favourite word is an abbreviation of his own name "apa"!!

Last night I went to upperstar damai and I ordered a Long Island Iced Tea. It was the first time I tried it and now i know why its a favourite drink for most of my peers.

So what exactly is contained in a Long Island Iced Tea (LIIT).

1 part vodka
1 part tequila
1 part gin
1 part rum
1 part triple sec
1 1/2 part sweet and sour mix
1 splash of Cola

Some facts of LIIT :

This drink roughly contain around 28% alcohol.
There is NO tea in Long Island Ice Tea
Contains around 138 calories per 5oz serving
Subtituting sweet and sour mix with either pineapple juice or lime cordial can make the drink taste better
Was first served in the late 1970s

So after work Mixson came to pick us(Andrew and i) up, We head down to penampang cause Mixson

wanted to change his myvi rims(170 65 14inch to 205 40 17inch).

We spent around 2 hours in penampang cause the shop was busy and we had to wait for Mixson stock to arrive, so while waiting we decided to go for lunch and we ate at one of the shop there ( Keng Lok) . The food there was not too bad the laksa wasn't that spicy but at least it manage to please my stomache.

After lunch drew wanted to challenge me in billiard, so we headed to one of those open air billiard shop (it's been while since i played in shops like these, kinda bring back memories).

After that we headed back to check on the car, they were in the process of changing the wheels.

The car looks good after the mod and it feels faster too lolz.

Headed home after that, going for basketball in beverly hills later, then might go for bowling wif the guys at CP. Looking forward for bowling its been awhile since i last played. Will update more later in the night =)

Random Fact : Laksa is a popular spicy noodle soup from Peranakan cutlure also known as Baba and Nyonya, which is a merger of Chinese and Malay elements found in Malaysia and Singapore. The origin of the name "laksa" is unclear. One theory traces it back to Hindi/Persian lakshah, regerring to a type of vermicelli. Personal Life

So it's like 6am now and the sun about to shine, Going to open the gym soon and head for breakfast with paul.

Just for ur info, paul and i didn't sleep the whole night,
we spent the night surfing the net and checked out alot of people blog,
which eventually inspired me to start my own.

So anyway it was a good night last night, cause MU LOST TO EVERTON on penalties!

Serve ferguson right to not start his best XII and in your face rubz for laughing at me when Arsenal lost the previous night haha.

Looking forward for the day to come,

been laying off gym for 2 days now, hopefully will have the energy to head back and pump some iron. Oh by the way, anyone interested in joining a very high class gym, please feel free to contact me ;)
